It is seen that many parents have computers at home and their children waste a lot of time with them. In my opinion, this phenomenon has its advantages but also its disadvantages which I will mention in this article.
First, the first advantage of having your own computer is that you can easily collect information. In other words, students who use computers at home can perform various functions, including searching for information about homework on the Internet. Another advantage of using computers comfortably at home is that we can improve our knowledge about life and the world. For example, according to many studies, students who have their own computers can access information very quickly and improve their knowledge. Therefore, for these reasons, it is considered reasonable by its proponents.
On the other hand, there are some disadvantages to using computers at home by young people. The first disadvantage of using computers is that it can make teenagers addicted to computer games. As a result, teenagers who play a lot of computer games may not be able to perform their real tasks. The second disadvantage of using computers is that children may be exposed to an uncomfortable environment. Indeed, when browsing the Internet, false advertisements or nude pictures may suddenly appear. For example, due to the influence of the bad Internet environment, many children live in bad conditions and form bad habits. Therefore, excessive use of computers can be dangerous for young children.
In conclusion, although using computers may have some disadvantages, such as addiction and poor exposure to context, the advantages of easy information acquisition and the development of knowledge and skills can easily balance them. If children continue to use computers, there will be beneficial consequences for their future.
