There is no doubt that countless famous people, such as singers or actors, make more income than political leaders. This essay will elucidate the primary culprits behind this tendency and explain why it is a detrimental development.

The income disparity between pop stars and politicians is attributed to many reasons. Chief among them is the diversification of income sources, for which the former group outweighs the latter. Superstars amass substantial income from not only their main profession but also from other arenas, thanks to their strong influence on their fans. To exemplify, a well-known and talented Vietnamese singer, Son Tung MTP, has attracted colossal invitations from giant companies to become their brand ambassador. Adversely, inflexible income and intangible rules hinder politicians from increasing their revenue. Such people are remunerated with a fixed salary despite their apparently significant dedication and devotion to numerous aspects of a nation. What is worse, it is inevitably criticized when those individuals sell any merchandise on the market.

As a result, such lopsided income distribution bears many adverse effects on job market and the government. In terms of workforce marketplace, it could gender the imbalance of labor availability when the youngsters are attracted to pursue entertainment careers due to the looming wealth, leading to the dearth of candidates in public sectors. For instance, in this day and age, many students from generation Z likely desire to become a famous singer or Tiktok content creators, which descends the number of application to political field. Furthermore, the embezzlement or money laundering could be more relevant because legislators do not gain deserving income.

In conclusion, the proliferation of the income gap between popular people and lawmakers results from the diversity of income sources and biased opinions about political positions. As a consequence, it could pose challenging threats to the labor market and the government.
