Overall, London underground railway which the oldest was opened in 1863 and it is the longest underground railway( 394 km), while the majority of passengers ( 1927 millions) use Tokyo subway. Moreover, the youngest metro railway is Los Angeles which it was opened in 2001, this railway’s length is 28 km and 50 million of people to get on a metro.
In terms of London railway, in 1863, it activated and this railway is used by 775 million people, it is the longest , approximately 400 km. Paris and Tokyo subway railways rank second accounting for approximately the same level for all categories, their lengths are 199 km and 155 km respectively. Tokyo railway opened earlier than Paris, in 1927 and 1900 in turn, 1191 million( Paris) and 1927 million(Tokyo) population use.
In 1976, Washington underground railway activated , its length is 126 km and 144 million people used this railway. Los Angeles longer than that of Kyoto by a narrow margin, with the former and the later being responsible for 28 km and 11 km respectively. Los Angeles is younger ( in 2001) compared to ( in 1981) and also passengers use per year, 50 million and 45 million in turn.
