Overall, while Japan saw an upward trend in unemployed proportion, the UK and Europe were the countries had a significant drop at the end of the period. When compare between 1993 and 2007, Japan had the lowest rank of unemployed figure.
At the start of the stage, the rate of people without working was stood at approximately 11 percent. The number then had a dramatic fall to five percent in 2001. The percentage of Europe unemployment obtained just less than the UK’s rate two percent. In 1997, this proportion increased to over 11 percent and became the highest ratios of the process before the sharp decline in the next three years, at nine percent. Japan seemed to have a different trend compared to the remaining countries in the period. Through the stage of eight years started from 1993, Japan unemployed increased strongly from two to six percent despite of the stabilization of unemployed percentage at five percent between 1995 and 1999. This number equalled to the UK figure at the same time.
From 2001 to the end of period, both Europe and Japan unemployed decreased minimize, at eight and four percent respectively. 2005 saw a constant rate of people who did not have job in England from 2001. This number underwent a slight rise to 6 percent in 2007.
