The pie charts demonstrate the percentages of carbohydrates, protein, and fat in three distinct diets, namely an average diet, a healthy diet, and a healthy diet for sport.
Overall, the carbohydrate figure was the most preferred in terms of popularity, while the rate of fat maintained the lowest intake. Notably, the healthy diet for sport consumed the highest amount of carbohydrates but the lowest amount of fat compared to the two remaining diets.
In terms of carbohydrates, it was consumed most by sports people which accounted for three-fifths. Meanwhile, the portion of carbohydrates in the healthy diet and average diet were relatively low, at half and two-fifths respectively. On the other hand, the percentage of fat witnessed the lowest intake in the healthy diet for sport, making up only 15%, while both the average diet and the healthy diet had equal fat levels, at 20%.
When examining the remaining nutrients in the average diet, protein accounts for the largest portion at 40%, which is comparable to the percentage of carbohydrates. In the average diet, the protein is twice as high as in healthy diets for individuals who engage in sports and is 10% higher than the proportion of protein typically found in a regular healthy.
