Band 6+: Children spend too much time watching TV and playing computer games. However, it does not help in improving their mental abilities. Do you agree or disagree?

Note: Both the topic and the essay were created by one of our users.

Teenagers are addicted to watching TV, and playing games is one of the most vital aspects of modern society. Therefore, there are some individuals who believe that children spend to much time watching TV and playing computers, which also does not help improve their mental abilities. I strongly agree with this statement, and this essay will outline my reason for thinking so.

There are three main reasons why I fully concur that young people prefer to use too much TV and computers as addicted residents. Perhaps the principal issue for this is that, in modern life, teenagers need to update their knowledge every day. This is because, people expand their understanding and knowledge on TV throughout some news programs. As a result, they focus on it too much and forget a variety of responsibilities in their lives, which leads to their vision decreasing significantly. Another reason is that young dwellers play games to reduce their stress. To elucidate, after their lessons in school, they will spend to much time on computers to relax with their friends. If they just depend on games to relax instead of going out to exercise or playing sports with their friends, they will become into lazy.

A further reason why I firmly support the idea that young individuals are addicted to watching TV and playing games on modern devices is that when children watch TV, they don’t move their limbs much. As a result, they don’t even blink and just stare at the screen. This kind of content consumption is not good for the brain.

In conclusion, although some people think that kids need to spend too much time exploring their favorite websites to learn many benefits and improve their health and knowledge, I absolutely agree that young children can entertain and relax after stressful hours at school. If parents control and encourage them to go out to play sports instead of playing games, their health habits will improve.
