With the technological advencements in the world, things started to switch to automatic and digital systems. Suddenly, our life has become reliant to these digital computers, and this may seem like a dangerous thing to some people.
Being reliant to some things can cause problems when they are not reachable. For example, being not able to comunicate when electrical problems accure on the services. This can cause serious problems in some situations. But, before technology has advanced, people came across with those kind of situations more often, and was not able to solve them back then. So the computer tech actually created less problematic life for ourselves. To put it in context, mobile phones, which can make us communicate with police or call an ambulance when needed, makes handling emergency situations easier. While back in the 80’s people had to find a phone booth or use landline phones.
Since, the population increases constantly, our human based systems has become slow and overcrowded. Furthermore, people were making mistakes on dates, numbers or processing datas. Yet, computers can easily handle such things more accurately and much faster. However, there are disadvantages on the computers too. For example, hackers can reach to personal datas of individuals or governments to use them in their favor. So, creating this fast and error-proof system exposed us to a new threat. To fix that a new field of security born, cyber-security.
In conclusion, i don’t think these kind of advencements and switches are dangerous because it is faster, safer and much convenient to use. Even though people can create problems or threats, we can also fix them.
