The diagram displays data on six different cities about the underground railways in terms of distance covered, date opened, and the passengers accommodating yearly. Overall, London had the longest railway route compared to all cities and Tokyo was supplied with the highest passengers annually.
According to the graph, the longest and the oldest underground railway route was built in London in 1863 with 775 million passengers per year. Meanwhile Kyoto, which initiated in 1981, had the shortest underground railway route with 11 kilometers, thus it had the least amount of passengers, respectively at 45 million. Constructed in 1927, the route in Tokyo covered a distance of 155 kilometers and equipped a total of 1927 travelers yearly.
Among the three cities left, Paris supplied about 1191 million travelers annually and was first serviced in 1900 with 199 kilometers of route. After 76 years, a 126 kilometers of route was constructed in Washington DC with 144 million passengers that accommodated it yearly.
