Both sides presenting strong arguments. Even thought I gravitate to those who thinks that all students should study whatever they want and like, both views will be discussed here .
On the one hand, If people choosing to study only subjects that will be useful for them in the future, such as medicine, IT technology or Math, it can provide a big step in the career. Most likely It will be easier for them to find a job, because now society really needs a good specialists, for example in medicine. In the hospitals there are not enough people working, that is why doctors will always be needed.
On the other hand, you cannot study what you don’t like, because it might also make problems with your future job. That is why it is really important to choose what you really like and what you want to do in future. Also If you are not sure what you want to do, in the beginning of the university you can try one major and If you will not like it, then you can change it. Nowadays students choosing majors just by looking at the salaries, and that is why in the end they end up unhappy about them life and what they are doing.
In conclusion, both sides of the argument have strong support. However, having analyzed the two sides, I am of the opinion that students have to study whatever they like and don’t get influenced by the society. Even thought choosing to study science and technology, might be useful in the future, but it will not make you happy with your job.
