Advantage And Disadvantage

Band 5+: The increasing rate of urbanization is a growing concern for many. However, the advantages of this trend far outweigh the disadvantages.

Note: Both the topic and the essay were created by one of our users.

Some people nowadays believe that most citizens are concerned about the increasing rate of urbanization. However the advantages of this trend are more than the disadvantages. In my opinion, I quietly agree with this point because urbanization has a lot of advantages for citizens meanwhile its disadvantages can also be solved.

On the one hand, I believe that there are a lot of problems with urbanization. Firstly, it can easily be seen that one of the big problems is about the cost. For example, in the countryside the cost of the food or house are less than the cost in the city. That is why people who come to the city for the first time will be shocked by the cost. Furthermore, if you do not have a better salary, it will be very difficult for you to live in the big city. Secondly, that is the pollution. It is true to say that development will lead to pollution. With a big population, we will get a lot of pollution in the city. The pollution may come from vehicles, factories,…and moreover that is the noise pollution which will make your health worse day by day. Last but not least, there are fewer greenspaces in the big city. Lots of trees were cutted down for building departments or malls for citizens. That is why people in the big city may not always be able to enjoy the fresh air from trees in natural spaces.

On the other hand, these problems have been being solved. For example, nowadays some big cities are building parks for people who want to enjoy the fresh air and a lot of departments are having small gardens for children to play outside.Furthermore, there is also a lot of public transportation for people. Which means it will have less air pollution in the city and also a noise from the motorbike whenever it has traffic jams. Besides that, urbanization helps people to have a modern life with high technologies and modern departments. Additionally, citizens can also have more opportunities for jobs. It can be easily seen that cities have lots of jobs in the countryside.

In conclusion, we can see that although there are some problems with urbanization. But we can not deny that urbanization is a key to improve not only the country but also people’s lives.
