Recently, there has been a considerable debate whether older employees or younger people are more suitable for leadership positions. While some people believe that older employees are more beneficial for higher positions, as they have sufficient wisdom and experience to deal with large-scale projects, others contend that younger generations are more qualified for these positions, as they are up-to-date with cutting-edge tools and demonstrate innovation, creativity, and adaptability for leading companies. This essay aims to discuss both perspectives, illustrating my support for the latter one.
On the one hand, older employees have adequate long-term experience, which qualifies them to higher positions. In other words, if companies promote older employees to leadership roles, they can depend on their experience to deal with facing issues, monitor junior employees, and analyze projects to eliminate loses. For instance, in numerous large companies benefit from appointing experienced employees to senior management positions, to increase their sales and avoid risks. Therefore, it can be said that not only does relying on older people in leadership promote profits, but it also helps eliminate losses.
On the other hand, younger generations are aware of cutting-edge tools, such as AI tools, and have innovation, creativity and adaptability, which can push them to lead large companies. To clarify, when youngsters are promoted to leadership position, they can implement modern technologies, such as Chat GPT, to shorten the time needed for tasks, and increase accuracy. For example, several developed countries around the world have launched comprehensive, large-scale campaigns to encourage entrepreneurs to give younger generations leadership opportunities. As a result, many companies, such as Hassan Allam, have promoted younger people to the majority of their senior positions. Thus, not only can appointing younger employees to leadership roles help companies adopt innovative practices, but it also remains companies competitive in rapidly evolving markets.
In conclusion, although many people have recommended that promoting older workers to higher position is an effective way to increase profits and reduce risks, I firmly contend that younger people have moderner techniques and are highly qualified for this matter, as they can implement new technologies, which facilitate performing tasks more quickly and accurately.
