The bar graph provides information about the distribution of internet users in four different age demographics over three consecutive years (1998-2000).
Looking from an overall perspective, it is readily apparent that, younger people aged 16 to 30 used the internet the most, followed by those aged 31-50. In contrast, individuals aged 51 and older have consistently shown the least engagement with the internet over the years.
In the initial year, the 16-30 age group accounted for the highest percentage of internet users, with substantial lead over the 31-50 group. This gap remained relatively constant over the next years. In contrast, the 31-50 age group displayed a moderate increase in internet usage over time, though they remained significantly behind the youngest group.
For the 51+ age group, internet usage was considerably lower than the other two groups in the first year. However, a gradual rise in usage was evident over the following years, suggesting a growing adoption of digital technologies among older individuals, although, their usage still lagged behind the younger age groups.
