Technology improvements have been surprising in recent years. People can work from home if they have a computer without going to work in person. Therefore, more employees are working at home. In my opinion, these developments could have both positive and negative effects in equal measure.
First of all, working from home can be more effective for introverted people because the workers have to stay at home and they do not have to communicate with others as much. And then, they are at their house, which is why they can work comfortably without being judged by co-workers. Moreover, they can reduce extra charges such as transportation fees. They do not need to prepare as much to go to work. In addition, it is flexible; they can eat the meals at any time they are hungry without regulations. Furthermore, if they want to take a rest for the day, they can take it without any orders.
However, if they work from home, they may lose some communication skills. They may not know how to start a conversation in a group. They may feel isolated after a long time. Most work-from-home jobs require sitting in front of a desk and a computer, which can affect their health because they have to sit for a long time and have a lot of screen time. They sometimes forget to eat because they do not watch the time if they are not in the office. This can result in a stomachache or related problems.
In conclusion, the increase in employees working from home will have both beneficial and detrimental effects on individuals and on the economy.
