The bar chart compares the proportion of four different types of favourite free-time activities (sports, computer games, music and shopping) done by male and female teenagers.
Overall, boys spend more time on all activities than girls. The most male teenagers like shopping and sports, while these activities are the least favourite ones for female teenagers. Almost the same proportion of teenager groups enjoy music and computer games.
The most liked free-time activity for boys is shopping at around 35%, while it is only about 5% of girls’ favourite activity. Similarly, the proportion of sport activities done by boys is higher than the girls. It is over double that of boys free-time activities.
In terms of computer games and music, there are similar figures. Above 15% of male teenagers like computer games and it is just under 15% for female teenagers. Music is equally preferred activity by both genders equally (approximately 20%) and it is the most favourite activity for teenage girls.
