In recent years, more people prefer online courses to traditional classes. While there are some downsides of online classes, I believe that they are outweighed by the benefits, such as flexibility and accessibility.
One drawback of online learning is the lack of face-to-face interaction with tutors. Unlike traditional classes, online classes cannot provide an opportunity to engage in group discussions, and receive immediate feedback. For instance, online students can struggle to understand complex topics. This can lead to waiting for replies from the teacher. Another downside is that online learning can easily have technical issues or internet access. Since slow speed, network distribution which can make it difficult to attend live classes, submit assignments on time. Moreover, students can struggle with using learning platforms, video conferencing tools, or digital resources. These problems are mostly challenging for students in remote or underprivileged areas, where access to high-speed and advanced technology is limited.
However, the upsides of online classes are far greater. One main advantage is flexibility. Unlike traditional education, online courses allow students to learn at their own time and schedule. This means that you can choose when and where to join your classes. Many online classes offer recorded lectures, so it means that you can use it whenever you want. Additionally, this way of learning is useful for working professionals and those who are varying in time zones. Another benefit of online courses is accessibility. Whether students live in remote areas or a city without access to certain institutions, it is possible to enroll in classes. The great example for this occasion can be COVID-19, during this period all institutions and learning organizations fully provide online education which helps to avoid increasing the spread of infection and prevention of absence from lessons.
To conclude, whereas social media can be negative for face-to-face interaction and technical issues, I believe that positive sides of it are more significant, including flexibility and accessibility.
