Overall, all household goods ownership rates increased over the period, with the exception of telephones, which witnessed a decline in ownership. TV was the most popular item, on the other hand, dishwasher was the least common item.
From 2004 to 2008, microwave, CD player, clothes dryer, TV and dishwasher rose significantly over the period. Individuals who use the microwave and CD player increased from 65% to 73%, from 73% to 78%, respectively. While the amount of dishwashers went up, the rate of people owning them was still the lowest. Besides, the percentage of TV climbed slightly, from nearly 95% to 98%.
Turning to the mobile phone, home computer and telephone. Between 2004 and 2008, the rate of mobile phone and home computer grew dramatically. The number of populations using them has doubled since 2004. In contrast, the proportion of telephone users decreased minimally to approximately 82%.
