A controversial issue is whether teenagers should follow the conventions of their ancestors or if they should better question the orthodoxy and other beliefs of their elders. In my opinion, the younger generation excludes the thoughts of their predecessors that are essential in these days and rejects the types of beliefs that hinder them.
To begin with, since many generations, humans have nurtured certain facts and ideas, these facts and ideas have always been useful to this day, even though the juveniles do not follow them. However, if they follow these rules, they will achieve success in life. For example, in India, most parents have good knowledge about education which they have learned from teachers in their school such as waking up early, memorizing important topics in the morning, maintaining good discipline, balancing diet, eating on time. Today, students are not restricted from following any of the regulations that the Japanese have maintained since time immemorial. As a result, they fall behind not only in good health but also in academic performance.
On the contrary, following tradition has some disadvantages that young people should not do. In Hinduism, for example 100 years ago, people used to sacrifice children before idols of goddesses. Think that goddesses can be happy, who can bestow wealth, fame and other happiness in life. Now, the present generation should raise their voice against this inhumane attitude, even though it is prevalent in some parts of India. Another important factor is childhood marriage, a common phenomenon from Western to Asian countries. For that reason, teens should take legal action about this one. Thus, some conventions must be limited by the hands of young people.
In short, although countless people believe that children should follow the traditions of adults, some believe that old ideas should be fought against. In my opinion, positive ideas must be accepted by adolescents and negative ideas must be challenged through them.
