Overall, car seems to be the most popular option of transport across the four countries especially in the States. This is followed by bicycle and motorcycle respectively with use of motorcycle being more popular in New Zealand and bicycles in America.
In America, 80% preferred cars over bicycles and motorcycles. In addition to cars, the younger generation of America used bicycles as their second choice of transport which was 20% lesser than those using cars. Australian youth on the other hand had an equal preference between cars and bicycles. 60% of them preferred cars and half of them used bicycle. Motorcycles were not that popular among the youths of both countries. A little over 20% of them in America used motorcycles whereas in Australia it stood at 20%.
Cars as a mode of transport in Canada and New Zealand was constant. Only half of them used cars as their preferred mode of transport. However, in New Zealand around 45% of the younger generation preferred bicycles as well. Canada had the least number of bicycle users across the four countries which stood at 35%. When compared with Australia and USA, motorcycle use was much higher in New Zealan and Cananda. In New Zealand, 40% of them used motorcycle as their preferred method of transport likewise in Canada, a little under 40% preferred them as a transport source.
