In the year 2001, New Brunswick exhibited the greatest proportion among all regions with approximately 8%, followed by Nova Scotia and Quebec at around 7% and 6% respectively. Both Alberta and British Columbia recorded roughly 4%, whereas Manitoba and Newfoundland and Labrador each maintained an approximate share of 3%. Furthermore, Ontario possessed the smallest percentage, at around 2%.
By 2006, New Brunswick had experienced a significant increase, rising to nearly 13%. Similarly, Nova Scotia and British Columbia both climbed considerably to around 11%. Quebec and Alberta also increased notably, reaching approximately 8% and 7% respectively. Conversely, Manitoba and Newfoundland and Labrador saw a slight growth, both reaching around 7%. Ontario, although maintaining the lowest overall percentage, has more than doubled its share to approximately 6%.
