The diagram compares the proportion of people participating in four different activities—reading, animated play, playing, and photographing—in urban and rural areas from 1990 to 2000.
Overall, it is clear that reading was the most popular activity in both areas and became equal in 2000, whereas photographing had the lowest participation rate in 1990.
In 1990, the number of people who took part in reading was 61 in urban and 71 in rural areas. However, by the next decade, this number had equalized at 78 in both areas. At the same time, more than twice as many people from rural areas (14) participated in photographing compared to urban citizens (7). By 2000, the number of participants in this activity had grown by nearly 10 in both areas, reaching 26 in rural areas and 17 in urban areas.
As for other activities, animated play and playing were moderately popular. The number of people participating in animated play in urban areas remained unchanged at 10 in both years, while participation in rural areas declined from 18 to 14. Similarly, the number of people engaging in playing declined in rural areas, dropping from 21 to 14, while urban participation in this activity remained unchanged.
