Many individuals are of the opinion that wealthiness offers rich people an opportunity to assisst other disadvantaged people. Personally, I mostly disagree with this statement due to some reasons in this essay
Advocates for this statement emphasize that providing the poor with financial aids is approporiate with the social expectation and the privileges of being rich. It is widely believed by our society that rich people are having the outstanding privileges which give them money and wealthiness. Also, giving financial aids is a way to express their sympathy to the disadvantaged and their gratitude for these special priviledges. As a result, they have set a good example for other peole to follow, earning them social appreciation and compliments. For example, if a rich person spends an amount of money reconstructing communitiy houses for the poor, he will be said to be generous and well-educated.
Conversely, forcing rich people to help the underprivileged is not an effective way to tackle the issue of poverty. It is the responsibility of the government to provide the disadvantaged subsidies and financial aids to improve their living standard or offer them equal access to community facilities and healthcare. As a result, the government with its financial capabilities and responsibility should give aids to the poor. Additionally, gaining rewards or supports easily without earning makes people become dependent on the rich, hindering them from solving their problems independently and effectively. Additionally, many people have put a lot of efforts to achieve their goals and become wealthier with their fianancial accummulation. Therefore, forcing rich people to giving support to the poor has breached their right of freedom as they have the right to decide to give aids or not.
In conclusion, althogh many people support that rich people should help the poor, I believe that giving financial support is the responsibility of the government, not the wealthy.
