Some people argue that too much attention and resources are devoted to protecting animals and birds. I completely disagree with this view because wildlife plays an essential role in preserving ecological balance and driving economic growth in many areas.
On the one hand, wild animals play a crucial role in maintaining the ecological balance of ecosystems. Each species has its own position in the food chain. If predators were exterminated on a large scale, the number of herbivores can rise significantly, disrupting the natural balance, such as damaging vegetation and affecting other species within the ecosystem. Moreover, preserving animals also protects biodiversity, which has a profound impact on sustainable development in the long run. Due to these reasons, paying much attention and investing many resources to protect wildlife is fully justified.
On the other hand, preserving wildlife also contributes to national tourism and economic growth. This is because many people are willing to spend a lot of money visiting national parks and observing rare species living in their habitats. This can promote ecotourism in many areas and offer employment opportunities for local people, thereby driving economic growth for local communities. For example, Kenya’s development is mainly based on ecotourism because this country has biodiversity and ecological balance, attracting millions of visitors each year. Therefore, the allocation of resources to protect animals is fully reasonable to promote economic development.
In conclusion, I disagree that too much attention and too many resources are devoted to protecting wildlife and birds. From my perspective, these efforts are essential as they help maintain ecological balance, preserve biodiversity and drive economic growth due to ecotourism.
