The diagram illustrates construction of the water filter as well as the way clean water is manufactured. Overall, the water-filter assembly consists of a plastic barrel and a storage drum, provided for the filtering process which commences with pouring water into the barrel and ending with producing drinking water.
Looking first at the main features of the filtering system, the plastic barrel and storage drum are connected with a long pipe. More specifically, the top of the first plastic barrel is the largest layer containing unclean water purified by three filters including sand, charcoal and gravel in order from the top to the bottom. In both barrels, although they have plastic lids, some of their difference is three legs in the bottom of the first barrel and a faucet to release the drinking water in the other.
Turning to the process of water filtration, unclean water is poured into the first barrel and experiences three times for removing dirties from water by the three particular filters. Then, all of them flow through the storage drum by the pipe and are released by the faucet for consumption.
