I remember learning to swim in my early twenties because the drowning rate was critically high in my neighborhood. This made parents, including mine, very worried about their children's safety. My parents sent me to swimming classes. At first, swimming was a real challenge for me because I couldn't hold my breath for very long and I would panic. However, I was lucky to have a very patient and dedicated teacher. He taught me the fundamentals of movement in the water. With his guidance and my consistent practice, I gradually gained confidence. I eventually mastered the skill and found myself at ease in the water. I even participated in a swimming competition and was surprised to win second prize.
