One of the fondest memories of visiting a family member was when I went to see my cousin Sarah at her new apartment. It was a vibrant Saturday afternoon and I was really excited because I hadn’t seen her in quite a while. She had recently moved into the charming little place in the heart of the city and I couldn’t wait to shake it out. The salt of spending the day catching up with her made me feel giddy. As soon as I arrived I was greeted with her warm smile and the delicious aroma of her famous lasanga wafting through the air. She had really put her heart into decorating her apartment and I feel cozy and inviting with all these plants and the curcly artwork. We immediately settled down on her comfy sofa and it was like catching up over a cup of tea. It’s under relaxed. We talked about everything from our childhood memories to our future aspirations. It felt so good to recommend. What made the visit ever even more enjoyable was the fun. We had cooking together after a later on. Sarah shared her favorite recipe with me and we made a bit of mess in the kitchen. Laughing and joking as the shopped vegetables and the striped pots. Cooking together always brings out the best in us and this time was no exception. It was such a joyous experience. Filled with laughter and a sense of togetherness that made the food taste even better. In the end we sat down to enjoy the meal we had prepared and it was incredible satisfying. The laughter continued and we even reminded about our escapades as kids which brought on webs of nostalgia that they not only strengthened it. Our bond but also left me with a warm feeling inside. Visiting Sarah reminded me of the importance of family and how such moments are what life is truly about.
