There are many traditions that are unlike those in other families, but we really appreciate ours. The one I would like to share is wearing Shalwar Kameez. In our family, because we are Muslim and we belong to Punjab, it is a tradition to wear Shalwar Kameez on Fridays and at weddings. In other families, they mostly prefer casual dresses; they appreciate wearing pant suits and formal attire. This tradition started when I was a child, watching my cousins, uncles, and parents wear Shalwar Kameez. Everyone participates in it. Actually, in our family, everyone wears Shalwar Kameez, so I think that's the tradition. It's important to our family because it reflects the culture we belong to. As Muslims, when we wear Shalwar Kameez, someone will see us and definitely know which culture or traditions we belong to.

So it started like when I was child so from that time watching my cousins and watching my uncles and my parents to Shalwar Khamees and everyone participates in it. Actually in our family everyone was Shalwar Khamees so I think that’s the tradition and And it’s important to our family because it describes to which culture we belong. Like we are Muslims so if we are wearing Sharafakumis, someone will see us and he will definitely know that to which culture or to which traditions we actually belong.
