I'd like to talk about how I handled the pressure during my job search at the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic. It was May 2020, right at the start of the outbreak. After completing a six-month coding bootcamp, I found it incredibly difficult to land a job for two main reasons. Firstly, I didn't have a university or college degree. Many companies required applicants to have a degree before even considering them for interviews, so I received very few interview opportunities. Secondly, it was the early days of COVID-19, and there were many restrictions in place for both companies and individuals. For example, I couldn't go out and attend in-person interviews. Most interviews were held online, which significantly impacted my performance. Despite the stress, I refused to give up. I persevered and continued to prepare for more interviews. Finally, my efforts paid off, and I secured a job. I'm incredibly proud of myself for not giving in to the pressure and staying on track. It was a challenging time, but I learned a lot about resilience and determination.
