It's because we are in a stage of learning where small kids do whatever they are taught during their classroom or in extracurricular activities. If we focus too much on standardized testing, it will not only hamper their brain development, but also lead them to adopt the same kind of behavior where they feel everything needs to be perfect. Furthermore, I think it will also hinder their growth.
