According to the bar chart, teenagers aged 16–22 purchased two different types of music frequently: rock and pop. However, adults aged 23–31 predominantly bought pop compared with teenagers. The proportions in the bar chart were, in first place, rock; then pop; then jazz.
Classical music increased in popularity among older people, while other groups of people did not commonly choose classical music in 2010. Pop music’s popularity fluctuated among those aged 32–45. Jazz remained in third place and was stable, maintaining the same level of sales in the USA in 2010. People aged 32–45 did not buy each of these types of music as frequently.
