The pie charts compare the percentage of viewers of several TV programs among three age groups.
Overall, as people age, interest in sports television programmes declines, whereas the demand for news increases. Other categories, however, remain relatively stable across all age groups.
With regard to sport and news, the figures display contrasting proportions. 10-15-year-olds watch sports programmes the most, accounting for 26 percent, followed by those aged 16-20 at 14 percent, and 21-25 at 4 percent. By contrast, the pattern is reversed for news programmes. Those aged 10-15 make up 6 percent of viewers, followed by 16-20-year-olds at 18 percent, and 21-25-year-olds at 33 percent, the largest share among all age groups.
The remaining categories show little change. The preference for cartoons and films compromise 26% and 19% among 10-15, followed by those aged 16-20, at 15% and 23%, and 21-25 at 20% and 21%. The viewers’ of drama almost remain unchanged between all age groups, at 22%, except for 16-20-year-olds, which account for 30%.
