The three pie charts show the proportions of different types of television programs viewed by people in three age categories – 10 – 15, 16 – 20, and 20 – 25 years old.
Overall, it is clear that younger viewers tended to prefer cartoons and sports, while older audiences were most interested in drama and especially news programs. Notably, cartoons were the most popular among the youngest group, whereas news dominated the preferences of people aged 21-25.
Among viewers aged 10-15, cartoons and sports were equally important, each accounting for 26% of total viewership. This was followed by drama and film which showed a similar pattern, with 23% and 19% respectively. Whereas news was least common among this group, representing only 6%
Focusing on those aged 16-20 years old, drama became the favorite program, accounting for 30% of total. Similarly, film rose to 23% overtaking cartoons, which fell to 15%. News also grew in popularity at 18%, while sports declined slightly to 14%
In the last category those aged 21-25 years old, news programs dominated and made up 33% of the total viewership. A similar pattern can be seen in both drama and film, representing 22% and 21%. Cartoons accounted for 20%, while sports viewership was least common with only 4%, making it the lowest percentage overall.
