Overall, Brazil has the highest percentage of land populated by a forest throughout the years , this is followed by New Zealand in somewhat of a mid range and lastly Brazil and Chile remain at the lower range of having their land as part of a forest. While the figures for 1990 and 2005 may be accurate , the one’s for 2015 is more of a calculated guess.
In detail, Brazil will be one of the only countries that may experience a drop of almost 10% from 62 to 53.5 % , in the surface area meant for forests . Whereas, land regions preserved for forests in NewZealand will experience a sharp rise of 4% from 28.8% to around 32.3% . Furthermore, in other countries like Chile and Australia the land used by forests may experience a slight increase of one to two percent, respectively.
