The bar chart illustrates the percentage of people who used the Internet in Taiwan by four different age groups, between 1998 and 2000.
Overall, the highest rate was among 16 and 30 years age,over the span,but their usage continued to decline until 2000.The proportion of less than 15 and 50 or more age group rose over the period.
In 1998,the percentage of Internet usage was 53% and 41%,in 16-30 and 31-50 age groups,respectively.Nevertheless,those rates fell to just over 45 percent and 39 percent,in 1999.By 2000,16-30 years age group showed 44 percent internert usage.Despite that decrease,this group showed higher rate than other groups.
In contast,adults group,that was 50 or more years age,greater than less than 15 age category,in 1998,but by 1999, both categories were equal,just below 8 percent.On the other hand,in 2000,figure of adults skyrocketed to 10 percent,while the Internet usage by less than 15 class also rose about 9 percent.
