The given bar chart compares the percentage of people who use the Internet in Taiwan of four age groups between 1998 and 2000.
Overall, people of group 16 to 30 years exhibited the largest number while less than 15 proportion remained the least. Both 31 – 50 years and 50 or more groups underwent slight changes.
The group of 16 – 30 years showed the highest number at 53% in 1998 and experienced a significant decrease to 44% in the last year but still being the greatest. In contrast, only 2% of children less than 15 knew about the Internet in the first year, before experiencing an increase of 7% in the next two years.
Turning to the remaining groups, similar to children, Internet usage of elderly from 50 and more is also limited, at 4% although reaching 9% in 2000. In contrast, 31 – 50 years group illustrated a decrease of 4% from 41% in 1998.
