Dear sam,
How have you been? yesterday, I received your letter and decided to write back to you right away.
I would like to share my personal experience with you and guide you to tackle this problem, I have good understanding of your current situation and I am glad that you reached out to me promptly.
Last year, when I was promoted to store manager position, I faced immense criticism from my team regarding my new ideas to improve store performance and it was really difficult for me to work with my team members as nobody was ready to follow my orders. This not only impacted the store but also failed me as a store manager in first month of my promotion.
I would like you to follow my ideas that i opted to overcome this situation. I begin with scheduling individual meeting with my team to understand them and their issues and this helped me to understand my teammates viewpoints. Besides this, I also compared their monthly performance against top sales persons in the company and during those conversations i made sure that my team understand the consequences of not performing upto the expectations. Within a month i provided better results for my store. I am sure that this idea will benefit you as well but do not forget that need to understand your team dynamics, strengths and weaknesses to be successful.
I look forward to you response.
yours sincerely
Gurpreet
