Dear Matt,

I hope you and your family are doing well. I received your letter asking for advice and details about the course I did.

The course I took was very interesting, I know that you want to become an airline pilot as well so I’m sure you will love it. The course doesn’t last very long, it’s only one year but you’ll have to work a lot. During the 4 first months you’ll do what’s called “ground school”, that means you’ll learn all the theoretical parts you need to be able to fly, and then during the 8 other months, you will start your flight training. You’ll fly almost everyday depending on the weather. For me that was the best part of the course.

I think you should go at this university because all the team is very helpful. All the instructors helped me a lot when I wasn’t understanding something. Also they bought a lot of recent planes that are very comfortable to fly.

Concerning the application process, there is 3 different phases you’ll need to pass. The first one is a test on your math and physics knowledges, it is pretty hard so try to work on that before applying. The second phase is a general aviation knowledge, for that one you don’t really have to work on it. Finally if you’re successful the final phase will be the interview with the director, at the end of this interview you will know if you’re accepted or not. You just have to be yourself and everything’s going to be alright.

I hope this will help you, if you need any further information, do not hesitate to write me again.
