Overall, It can clearly be seen that averaging hours of all manufactures had a downward trend over the years.
Regarding the automotive industries that have the longest hours for production a new car, General Motor and Ford started at 32 Hours and 28 Hours in 1998, respectively. While General Motor’s production time had a gradual decrease to 22 hours for 8 years, Ford’s production time increased to just above 31 Hours by 2001 before it sharply fell just below 22 in 2005.
In terms of the car manufacturers that have the shortest hours for manufacturing a new car, Toyota and Honda stood similarly at around 22 hours in 1998. In the subsequent, both firms had a rapid fluctuation trend through the given period. However, by the end period, in 2005, Toyota and Honda reached 20 hours.
