Band 6+: A road near your home is damaged. Please write your town/city council to complain about it. In your letter tell them who you are and where you live; explain the nature of your complaint; say what you would like them to do about it.

Dear St. Alban Council,

I hope this letter finds you in good health. I am writing to you regarding the street where I live. My name is Nikoleta Lukacova and I am the resident of St. Albans, literally Colney Heat Street, which has been in catastrophic condition since the previous winter.

I would like to complain about a gigantic hole on the corner of Colney Street 75. My husband had made a punch in his tyre a few times for 2 months. I can prove this statement by the bills, which we paid. For illustration, in this case, I am sending to your office the picture with meters of how deep is this hole in the attachment. We are not the first family on our street, who have this issue. Therefore, we will soon make a claim.

Consequently, we are asking the council to replace a whole tarmac through the street, which has been damaged by salt, which your council used for melting ice in the winter. We do not agree with filling the hole separately, because of short-time longevity. Ultimately, this option is the best way how to satisfy people living near our street.
