Overall, it is clear that football was the most popular sport in all given years, however football illustrates gradually decreasing over the period. In addition, golf was the less popular sport and its popularity increased throughout the period.
First of all, the less popular sports are golf, yoga, and volleyball. Golf accounted for 8% of interest in 1999 and it sharply rose to 17% in 2009. Secondly, yoga was 10% in 1999 and it showed the same proportion in 2004, but after half a decade it increased to 13%. At the beginning of the period volleyball accounted for 17% of popularity and rose around 3% in 2004, however at the end it declined to 18%.
The most popular sports are football, tennis, swimming, and basketball. Tennis illustrates consistent growth throughout the period, it starts with 25% and ends with 33%. At the beginning of the period popularity of swimming was 32%, and after five years it rose to 34%, which after the second time was 34% in 2009. Football and basketball had more interests than other types of sports, however these sports consistently fell over the period, which football started with 57% and ended with 48%. Additionally, the total interests for basketball was 26% in 1999 and 24% in 2009.
