In contrast, breakfasts account for the smallest share of all three nutrient categories.
In terms of sodium consumption, dinners represent the highest percentage at 43%, followed by lunches at 29%. Snacks and breakfast contain significantly less sodium , with 14% and 14% respectively. Similarly, saturated fat is most prevalent in dinners(37%), while launches(26%) and snacks (21%) have medium proportions. Breakfasts once again show the smallest proportion of saturated fat at only 16%.
Regarding added sugar, snacks are the major source, contributing 42% of total consumption. Dinners and lunches are similar in their contribution, making up 23% and 19% of added sugar intake, respectively. Breakfasts have the lowest added sugar content at 16%.
