Themap illustrates developed erection of Chorleywood village where located near to the London and from the mid 19th century its population keep growing.
Overall, it can be seen from the map that contain four periods (1868-1883, 1883-1922, 1922-1970, 1970-1994) and three type of constructions, including main road, motorway and railway.
At the beginning of the period there is not much buildings to see. From 1868 to 1922, there was a high expansion of the development which cover the northern and western side of the area. When it comes to third period, there was a building in southward under the railway. Between 1970 and 1992, residential buildings were built next to the main road and behind railway.
It is clear that,railway erected in 1909, which crossed both main road and motorway along the southern side. Eventually, main road constructed betore the motorway (built 1970) which connect with each other in the north-west spot.
