This bar chart illustrates the data on different coffee and tea consuming habits in five cities in Australia.
Overall, people in Sydney, Melbourne, and Hobart had a higher proportion of drinking coffee and tea in total, while Brisbane and Adelaide people had less of them.
Focusing on the three cities that preferred them, we can see that the percentage of people in three cities going to the cafe was the highest, which is above 60 per cent. However, the number of the other two sorts varied. Hobart people were more likely to buy instant coffee (just below 55 per cent) than Sydney and Melbourne people, with the rate above 45 per cent. In contrast, Sydney and Melbourne consumers had a preference for fresh coffee, and the percentage was below 40 for Hobart people and above 42 for the other two.
Moving on to the two cities that had fewer preferences, it’s clear that the data for fresh coffee (34 per cent) and instant coffee (around 50 per cent) were similar, while there was a difference in the data for going to the cafe. The proportions were 56 per cent and 49 per cent for Brisbane and Adelaide, respectively.
