Overall, the consumption of pizza in Britain gradually declined while the other two items increased slightly over the given period and it is noticeable that fish & chips reached the highest rate.
As regards the first, the expenditure on pizza went down slightly from 800% in 1970 to 200% in next 15 years, then subsequently climbed to just over 200% at the end of the period.
By contrast, there was a noticeable increase in fish & chips. In 1970, the consumption of fish & chips stood at around 80%, followed by a marginal growth to around 150% in a decade. After that, significantly soared until it hit a peak of 500 rates from 1980 onwards. On the other hand, the consumption of hamburgers started at approximately 20% at the beginning of 1970, then increased slightly throughout the period until it reached just under 300% at the end of the period.
