The line graph illustrates various activities prefered by elderly individuals in Europe during their leisure time from 1980 to 2010 namely:Reading,Hiking,Theatr,Playing sport,and Surfing.
Overall, Theatre and playing sport were predominent categories initially.Theatre was replaced by hiking and playing sport appeared to stablized its position nearly at the end of time period.Remaining other categories accounted for dramatic pattern through out the period.
In 1980s the highest favourite category of elderly was playing port which represent 60% of the total hours.However,this figures slightly rose to 70% in 2000s and observed down fall at below 70% in 2010.Theatre was a second prefered activity by elderly initially at 50% in 1980s, and droped by two times at 1990s,as it recoverd at nearly 50% accordingly by gradual rise by 2010s.
Despite started at lowest at 20% in 1980s hiking made the highest place in elderly’s free time by steady rise,and reaching at 80% highest among all.On other hand, reading and surfing the internet showed fluctuated graph which represent dramaitc rise from initiall level noted at 30% and nearly 2% respectively follwed by 60% and 50% at the end of period.
