There is a graph that contains five distinct lines. These line charts illustrate how older population of Europe spent their leisure time by reading,hiking,theatre,playing sport and surfing the internet from 1980s to 2010s.
In general, the ratio of elderly engaged in playing sport, hiking, reading and surfing the internet followed an upward trend. The reverse was true for those invovled in theatre.
In terms of playing sport, the ratio of elderly people was 60% in 1980s which rose by 10% in 2000s before dropping to 65% by the end. Conversely, a half of the old individuals were engaged in theatre. After experiencing a decrease to 30% in 1990s, this grew by nearly 15% in the last year. However, there was a continual increase in the proportion of elderly people who were hiking, rising from 20% to reaching the top at 80% throughout the timeframe. Reading, in contrast, was initially choosen by 30% of aged people, which then witnessed mild ups and downs with the ratio finally reaching to three fifths by the last year (60%).
When it comes to surfing the internet, a very minimal percentage of elderly population were using internet in 1980s. Nevertheless, it surprisingly kept surging and became a half in 2010s.
