In 2003 more than 3% of the American had their meals every day at fast food restaurant, and it witnessed a reduction to about 2.5% by 2003 and 2006. For people who ate several times a week or once a week, they show similar pattern in their preference, with regard to the former, which experienced a rise in 2006 from approximately 17% to 20% before a drop to about 16% by 2013, and the latter from nearly 31% to more than 32% then around 27%.
For those who visited once or twice a month, the figure reduced from 30% to 25% and grew to about 32% in the given years whereas people who visited a few times a year, the proportion increased from about 12% in 2003 and plateaued at 15% during 2006 and 2013. Furthermore, there was a reduction in population of American who never visited the fast food restaurant from 5% to 3% in the given spans.
