Overall, although Drama and Documentary were the most commonly released genres, they generated some of the lowest proportions of revenue from ticket sales, while Comedy contributed the highest share of box office earnings despite having fewer releases. Thriller had the fewest releases and contributed the least to overall revenue.
Drama and Documentary, which were the most popular genres, had the same number of releases, at 35 films, and both accounted for 23.6% of all releases. However, the share of income of the former was almost four times as high as that of the latter , at 8.3% and 2.9%, respectively. Despite the figure for Comedy standing at just 26 movies, which was 9 films lower than that of the initial genres, and contributing 17.6% of the total, its tickets were sold most, being the dominant genre in this category with 45.4%. Following closely behind were the horror movies, with half as many as Comedy, with respective figures of 14, 9.5%, and 20.2%. As for Thriller, 13 films of this genre were produced, accounting for 8.8%, marking one of the smallest incomes with just under 1.3%.
Consistently, the percentages of some genres,like Biopic and Action, accounted for 1% and 4%, respectively, making them the least inquantity of releases and proportions of total releases. In contrast, the number of movies released in terms of Crime, Romance, and others ranged from 5 to 8, in which Crime had the highest business revenue created from ticket sales, at 4.7%, which was about 1.5%higher than that of others and five times as high as Romance.
