The line graph provides information about acid rain emissions by millions of tonnes, in four sections: transport and comminucation; electricity, gas and water supply; domestic; and other industries, over the period from 1991 to 2007, in the UK.
Overall, it could be seen that in the first three years the index of electricity, gas and water supple was by far the highest, while the domestic section had the lowest indicator of acid rain emissions.
Starting with 3,3 million tonnes in 1991, in the section of electricity, and gas, the index dropped significantly over the next three years. Between 1997 and 1998, the figure remained around 1,3%. Furthermore, the rate sharply decreased to 1% by 1999, and in the following four years declined againg to a nearly 0,5%. Meanwhile, other industries also significantly dropped over the years, started at 2,1% million tonnes in 1991, which remained at the same percentage in the next two years. Since 1995, the rate decreased considerably, and reached 1,4% by 2007, which became the highest percentage in the last four years.
In contrast, next two indicators were more steadly. However, the percentage of domestic was the lowest with 0,6% in 1991, but the percent fell steadly to 0,2% by 2007. Notably, the last index was also marginally, in 1991, the transport and communication section had 0,7%, as well as in 2004 reached the peak with 1%, and in 2007, again decreased to 0,8%.
