The bar graph compares how much free time people have by gender and employment status in the period between 1998 and 1999.
Looking from an overall perspective, there is more free time among unemployed and retired people than among those working full-time. Also, women have less leisure time than men, no matter which employment category they belong to.
What stands out is that people who work full time have less free time than any other category of people. It is estimated that male spend about 50 hours per week in leisure, while among women this rate is less than 40 hours per week. Females employed part-time have a far more free time than employed full-time. (however?)There is no data about males in this group.
According to the graph, the leading categories in the rating are unemployed and retired people. They have almost equal amount of free time, estimating about 85 and 75 hours per week for males and females respectively. While housewives spend much less time for leisure that is about 50 hours per week.
