Overall, the data show that all age groups lean to spend most of their free time in company. Moreover, the total amount of daily free time grows proportionally with age.
Regarding leisure time spent with others, children from 8 to 15 years old are the most relevant age group, accounting for 5 hours per day. This figure decreases by one hour during adolescense. Conversely, lonely free time hours almost doubles for 16 to 24 years old people (2 hours).
From 25 to 44 years old, the distribution of leisure time is practically identical: less than 4 hours are spent with others and slightly more than one is spent alone. When the age increases, the total amount of free time grows proportionally. UK inhabitants from 45 to 54 years old pass almost 4 hours a day accomanied by others and about 1.5 hours alone.
Nevertheless, people that are between 55 and 64 years old spend more than 4 hours of their daily free time with others and almost 2 hours alone. Finally, 65 years old people and over are the firts age group in terms of lonely leisure time.
